  Derek came out to give us an estimate on a repair job to the limestone we had on the front of our house that had significantly eroded away. Gave me a quick estimate, then never called back. After waiting 2 weeks, I tried to contact him, left a message... no response. A few days or a almost a week later I called again, left a message... no response.
  
  If the job didn't interest him or it was too small or not profitable enough and worth their time, they should probably just tell people that instead of ignoring them. Derek got back to me almost immediately when I called the first time and before he saw what the job was. I also told him we needed it done as soon as they could fit us in because we had an appraisal coming up to refinance a master bath and guest bath remodel. I mentioned it because our remodel for both bathrooms will have around $45-50,000 budget. A job which in we haven't hired anyone yet for tiling, etc. Something I know they also do. Something which we are still looking to hire someone for. It won't be them. And maybe they're ok with that, but either way, my advice to them would be to not dismiss and ignore the little jobs offhand because they can lead to bigger, more profitable jobs... like ours.
